Oakfield Project

Alternative Education

What we do..

As part of the close working partnership with the schools we offer our students a full and varied curriculum programme which is personalised towards the individual needs of each student. This enables students to achieve at least five GCSE's.

Currently, we are able to offer students: English (both language and literature), Maths, Art, Computing, SWEET, CoPE, Science, Food Technology as well as short course accreditations in Food Hygiene, First Aid, Sports Leaders and Social Enterprise. We also endeavour to find college and work experience placements for all students as we believe strongly that this helps with their transition when the time comes for them to leave us.

We have regular, critical evaluations of our performance and have demonstrated a high commitment to improvement each year. Within this commitment to improvement each year. Within this culture academic and non academic staff have high expectations, where student behaviour and achievement mirror each other.

Our secret at Oakfield is that we are continual learners; teaching, leading and learning is about communication in order to enable others to learn; we teach in a way that the student can learn. We are building on best practice to extend and develop into all areas at Oakfield.

"The quality of teaching and learning and behaviour is inseparable"
